This great grey owl has been hanging out by Park Headquarters. Coworkers have been seeing him perched daily. So today I went for it! I picked up Barrett and the boys after work, grabbed the camera and headed back out. I thought for sure the kids and the camera and the fact that I drove to Thunder Bay and back without seeing a moose would jinx me of ever seeing an owl today. It was my lucky day! We stopped the car, watched him fly all over and swoop and spin his head all the way around. Just as we are about to leave he nestles in the snow and grabs a mouse and eats it! It was one of the most amazing sights I have ever seen! And the kids got to see it too! Emmitt had his owl hat on and thought the grey should come be his hats friend. :) And at supper Bear caught Parker shaking his meat down his throat, mimicking eating like an owl. It truly was once in a lifetime show we saw tonight.
