bye bye frosty

Parker came home last night from a very long weekend and was so disturbed to see that Spring had taken it's toll on dear old frosty the snowman...he no longer has a head! The rest of him is there, in a distorted form...but his hat and head are gone. He came up to Bear and I and just said "frosty no head".
We say...bring it on! Currently it's 27 degrees.

Happy Easter

Parker and Emmitt-gotta have the matching sweater vests!

The 2 boys-Emmitt slept through half of this and was content the other half.

The Family photo. And our 2 little bunnies.
Our Easter weekend was fun filled and extremely busy. We started on Friday-with Parker swimming at the Holiday Inn for 3 1/2 hours! He was a wrinkly prune by the time we went home. He stayed up late playing with all his cousins. Then Saturday we dyed eggs-Parker had way more fun this year, mainly because he understood more this year then last year. He watched his cousins do it and then went for it himself. Managed to stay clean too! Then we finally got him down for his nap. It does not work to reason with a 2 year old. The whole "if you do this, then we'll give you this" thing does not work! We told him after his nap we would go swimming, well all he heard was "go swimming!". So after being trapped in his room for 45 minutes screaming bad mommy and daddy, he finally fell asleep. 2 hours later, we were swimming again.

Sunday morning-we were up early and at the church by 8 am for breakfast, then in church and then back home in time for the bunny to come by. We did not even mention that rabbit until after church, or we knew what he would talk about during the whole service. Ahhh, success...we got home and I took him upstairs while dad and grandma Janet hid eggs for him. He ran around filling his basket totally enjoying himself. He accidentally dropped and opened the first plastic egg he found and watched the candy shoot all over the floor...so guess what he did with all the other eggs? He opened them all and put the candy in his basket. The real eggs he soon realized contained nothing but that egg that we had fed him the day before...not actual candy.

After the egg hunt and filling his face-it was out to Ray for dinner. Well the sugar had taken it's toll and he crashed in the car on the way out there. He took a good nap and let us eat our food! All the while my sister held Emmitt-so it was perfect! He stayed until the end and enjoyed the great food, company and beautiful day!
Happy Easter!

One Month Old

I am going to redo this shot...trying to get him in this chair each month to see him grow-I wanted one with his eyes open but then he does this slumped over look. He does not look happy nor comfortable!

I Love that he is just chilling back in the comfy chair. A total guy already!

Not sure if these big eyes are going to turn brown or stay blue...
At one month-weighing in at 9#12oz and measuring 21.75 inches
At birth he was-8#4.2oz and 20.5 inches

Building a Snowman with Papa

Frosty the Snowman...With two cupcake eyes and a cucumber mouth; we were lacking in the coal and carrot department so plastic food from the play kitchen will have to work.

We have been paying extra attention to Parker since his little brother arrived. Do special things or projects to be sure he doesn't feel ignored. One thing he loves doing is going for wagon or sled rides with Papa Milo. Yesterday Papa came over and they built a snowman together. Parker has been saying good morning and good night to it! Even talks to it from the dinner table. I wonder how he is going feel when frosty melts?!

Two 2 year olds and a baby!

Last weekend, Carrie, my friend and roommate from college came up for a visit...her daughter Kalea just turned 2 in February. Wow did these two 2 year olds have fun together. Of course there were the moments of mischief, sharing, playing, laughing, not napping, etc...but they became fast friends. It was a great weekend for the moms too. We stayed up way too late talking and drinking wine!

I didn't really like those dried hydrangeas anymore anyways...glad the kids had fun with them. Bonus-daddy vacuumed up all those little petals too!

Having fun in the tub together!

Sharing the sit and spin together-and falling off to make each other laugh hysterically.

The 2 Year Old has figured this out...

My 2 year old has this new baby thing all figured out. He soon realized that when mommy is feeding Emmitt, he is out of my reach and apparently "hearing zone" and feels that he can do whatever he wants. He knows about how much time he has to get the job done too! He also knows how long to wait to begin whatever mischief he has planned. He basically lets me get settled in my rocking chair and then a minute later-he's off! This is what he did to the brand new roll of paper towels...after unrolling them all, he then sang himself a song, played "I seed you mommy" with the tube and built himself a paper towel "house" on the dining room table!

His other new favorite is pushing a kitchen chair to the counters and sink to play with the water, the scrub brush, rag...when we get in there to scold him-he always says that he wants to wash his hands! I think he knows that I won't tell him he can't wash his hands...little smarty!
